It's a challenge for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the biggest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the chance.

Ultimately, the consequence of Australia allowing 330 runs was leader Alyssa Healy getting an opportunity to deliver her latest masterpiece.

Originally famous as the young family member of celebrated previous Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she debuted in 2010 after her country didn't secure either of the 20 or 50-over World Cups held the previous year and has witnessed all through 15 championship-filled years since.

At the subsequent ODI World Cup in New Zealand, Healy scored 170 against England in the final and was named player of the tournament. She ensured her country would not fall short again.

If this newest brilliant performance exceeded that prior achievement is debatable.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What is certain is this hundred was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings came after six matches in India over the past few weeks in which she had not exceeded 30 runs.

"A chance to go out there and face the challenge with her and just have a bit of fun that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her fastest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was dismissed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - a manageable total now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we believe we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this success following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from the previous year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the first time at an important competition.
