I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
